Mary Elizabeth Guerrero

Mary Elizabeth Guerrero, of San Antonio, Texas passed away on March 10, 2024, at the age of72. She was born on August 31, 1951 in San Antonio, Texas to Beatriz Muniz and Mariano Gonzales. Mary was a beloved mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, and great-grandmother.

A proud alumna of Jefferson High School, Mary's roots in her community ran deep. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was a devout member of St. Mark's Catholic Church, where she found solace and fellowship. Mary was a dedicated VP Branch Executive at BBVA Compass Alamo Heights. Her commitment to excellence and leadership in the banking industry left a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of working with her.

Mary's loving memory will be forever held in the hearts of her family. She leaves behind her son Rick Cantu, daughter-in-law Veronica Cantu, grandson Luke Cantu, son Isaac Cantu, daughter-in-law Lisa Luna, granddaughter Demarkaja Cantu-McCarthy and husband Jordan McCarthy, great-granddaughter Fiona McCarthy, granddaughter Midori Cantu, and grandson Zephyr Cantu.

Services will be held at St. Mark's Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 3, 2024. A Rosary will be prayed at 10:30 am, with the funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 am. The rite of committal will take place at Fort Sam Houston at 1:00 pm, where Mary will be laid to rest and be reunited with her beloved husband, Alfonso Guerrero Jr.

Arrangements are under the care of Porter Loring North in San Antonio, Texas. Mary will be dearly missed by all who knew her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
