Mary Louise Henderson

Mary Louise (Weege as she was affectionally known) Henderson, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas after a brief illness. She was born on July 4, 1940, to parents Lois Kirsch and Gustav Bennett in Sharon Hill, Pennsylvania.

Weege was a stalwart family pillar, an impeccable business leader and never met a stranger. Even days before her passing, she was encouraging medical staff and managers to achieve higher heights in their own lives. Weege moved to Texas in 1967. Weege was highly successful in her 45-year career as a real estate agent and investor to help provide for her two children. Weege was also was a travel agent for twenty years. Being a parent of a murdered child, Weege was recruited to being a chapter co-leader in the National Organization of Parents of Murdered Children, where she embraced and counseled hundreds of parents giving them emotional support to help them cope with their loss.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Lois Kirsch Hansberry, and her daughter, Lynn Bennett Henderson. She is survived by her loving son Michael Henderson and his wife Danielle. She left behind a multitude of friends and many very close people whom she loved and cared for. The Lord sent a special angel when he called Weege home and she is now in His beautiful presence. All is well.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
