Mary Josephine Hill

Mary Josephine Hill, known to her loved ones as Mary Jo, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2023, at the age of 77 in San Antonio, TX. She was born on January 21, 1946, in Decator, IL, to the late Margaret and Phillip Grinslade.

Mary Jo was a loving, smart, funny, and hard-working individual. Her determination and fierce spirit were evident in everything she did. She was a devoted spouse to Orlise Michael Hill and a beloved sister to Margaret "Susan" Grinslade and brother Robert Ray Grinslade and his wife Shirley.

Mary Jo was a dedicated mother to Tracy Grinslade, Gary Langsfeld and his wife Martha, Claudette Mabry, and Mary Ruotolo and her husband Christopher. She cherished her role as a grandparent and leaves behind a beautiful legacy through her grandchildren: Kimberly Langsfeld-Cotton and her husband Erik, Sara Langsfeld, Shenia (Nia) Gonzalez and her husband Roman, Kayla Mabry and her spouse Joshua, Hailey Johnson, and Katelyn Ruotolo. Additionally, Mary Jo is survived by twelve great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Margret and Phillip Grinslade, and her former late husband, Albert Francis Williams.

Mary Jo touched the lives of many with her love, kindness, and infectious laughter. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
