Mary Elia Laguna

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Rodolfo Laguna, Jr.; and her son in law, Dudley Wayne (Chip) Colbert; her parents, and grandparents.

She is survived by her daughters, Yvette Anne Hinshaw (John), Lizette Joy Colbert, son, Rudolph Henry Laguna III (Susan); her eight grandchildren, Josh Hinshaw (Jennifer), Christopher Rodriguez (Samantha), Cody Hinshaw, Jacob Laguna (Shelby), Jonathan Hinshaw, Jack Hinshaw, Cora Sue Colbert and Sara Elizabeth Colbert; six great-grandsons, Colton Rodriguez, Preston Hinshaw, Waylon Rodriguez, Levi Hinshaw, Case Laguna, and Theodore Rodriguez.

Mary will be missed greatly, although her dedication to education will live on through her family and the many children whom she taught over her 35 years of teaching. Mary was a testament to just how much one woman could change the world with education and encouragement. Her family will be forever grateful for all the love poured into each one's successes.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Porter Loring on McCullough Avenue, with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Luke's Catholic Church, 4603 Manitou Drive. Entombment will follow after service in San Fernando Cemetery #2.
