Mary R. Sprague

Mary was born to parents John and Ruth Dye on February 27, 1931 in Marietta, Ohio. Mary later married Richard Sprague of Parkersburg, WV and they were stationed at various billets throughout the course of Richard's time in the military. Eventually they made their home in San Antonio.

Mary went on to become an LVN and retired from the Baptist Health System in San Antonio where she worked for over 20 years. Mary distinguished herself caring for patients in Coronary Care and Intensive Care Units.

Mary is survived by her son, Steven and his wife, Karen. Mary has extended family and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother, Ruth and father, John, along with her brothers, Fredrick Dye, John Dye, and Walter Dye.

A memorial service will be held at Porter Loring Mortuary North in San Antonio, Texas on Tuesday, January 17 beginning at 3:00 pm and concluding at 5:00 pm.

Mary wished to be cremated and will be interred at Sunset Memorial Park in San Antonio.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made in memoriam to the Alzheimer's Association to further research into a cure for Alzheimer's and Dementia.
