Her husband, Edward Sweeney, of San Antonio, preceded her in death in 1955.
She moved to Austin in 1960 to join her family in business and returned to San Antonio in 1990.
She is survived by her son, Fred Sweeney; and daughter, Patricia Swann and husband, Chesley; and grandchildren, Megan, John and Sam Sweeney and Chesley and Robert Swann; and a brother, Alex McNair.
Her most important job was being a mother, but she worked part-time as a bookkeeper at the family appliance store. She enjoyed playing the piano, playing bridge, dancing, ice skating and watching the Dallas Cowboys.
She will be buried next to her husband and sister-in-law, Mary Frances Sweeney.
