Mary June Walker Thigpen, born June 18, 1918, to Lela Ann Mayo Walker and Ernest Edward Walker in San Antonio, Texas, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, December 24, 2005 at the age of 87. She is predeceased by her sister, Daisy Walker Miller. She was a 1936 graduate of Brackenridge High School.
She was an active, lifelong member of Baptist Temple where she sang in the choir for many years and taught the Business Women's Sunday School Class for over 50 years.
She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, David Crockett Thigpen; son, David Crockett Thigpen, Jr. and wife, Lois of San Antonio, Texas; daughter, M'Liss Ann Lenamon and husband, Larry of Waco, Texas; grandchildren, Kristen Thigpen Chimento and husband, Mark of Portland, Oregon; David Crockett Thigpen III, M.D. and wife, Helen of Dallas, Texas; A'Lissa Bell Zamarripa and husband, Martin of Round Rock, Texas; Courtney Suzanne Bell of Austin, Texas and Jillian Ann Lenamon of Waco, Texas.
