Mary was a bookkeeper and teacher by trade. She continued her remarkable ability to teach through her works with Camp Capers of The Episcopal Diocese of West Texas and each church she attended, reaching many with unrelenting faith, beauty, grace and sense of humor. Mary also shared her knowledge and Christianity by being a leader in multiple church youth groups, Happening and Cursillo retreats and serving as a Lay Minister. Giving back to her community, especially the youth, was important to Mary; she served on the San Antonio Livestock Committee for 8 years; paying special attention to the Junior Ag Mechanics. She found great pleasure in volunteering at her local election’s office, as well. Her legacy can be seen and will be continued through her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and all who have had a pleasure to know and learn from her.
