Melvin D. King, loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother entered into eternal rest on November 18, 2011 at the age of 85. Melvin was born on February 14, 1926 to Arthur and Mary King. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cecilia L. King; sons, Steven King, Gregory King, and Timothy King. Melvin is survived by his daughters, Susan Sewald and Elizabeth Calhoun; sons-in-law, John Sewald and Robert Calhoun; grandchildren, Brenda Harvey, John Christopher Sewald, Megan Sewald, and Caitlin Calhoun; great-grandson, Abel Calhoun; sister, Connie Grant; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. In lieu of flowers donation can be made to the American Lung Association, www.lungusa.org. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 25, 2011 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home. Graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Mission Burial Park North, 20900 IH 10 West.
