She was born August 17, 1937, in Kilgore, Texas. Talented in many areas, she enjoyed cooking, sewing, and especially painting. She won several awards for her oil paintings, which typically depicted beautiful landscapes. A devout Christian, she was a member of Thousand Oaks Baptist Church, where she found comfort, fellowship, and close friends. Her vivaciousness and fun-loving spirit will be remembered by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Maurice Bond; children: Ed Turner, Lori Woodard, and Gina Foley; sister Barbara Mackiewicz; brother James E. Allen; grandchildren: Kacie, Krysta, Jess, Rebekah, and Christine; nephews and nieces: Kay, Melanie, Jimmy, Brooke, and David; daughter- and sons-in-law: Pat, David, and Mark; cousin Mattie Cramar. She was preceded in death by her parents Myrtle and J. O. Allen.
