Michael Evans Coleman

The youngest of five children, Mike was born in Victoria, Texas on March 5, 1959 to Winton and Eileen Coleman. He graduated from Victoria High School in 1977 and attended the former Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State). He graduated from Texas State in December, 1982 after being very involved with various campus organizations, including serving as president of his fraternity, Delta Tau Delta. He had a successful and rewarding career in pharmaceutical sales for many years until his recent illness. He was so proud of his two children and enjoyed watching their various sports competitions through the years, and enjoyed the family vacations they shared.

Mike is preceded in death by his father, Winton L. Coleman, MD. He is survived by his wife of almost 30 years, Dawn Esse Coleman, his children Katherine Margaret Coleman and Kevin Michael Coleman, and his mother, Eileen Aaron Coleman, of Victoria. Also his brother and sister in law, Winton Lee Coleman, Jr. and Sue Coleman, of Dallas; sister and brother in law Margaret Coleman Barney and Jerry Barney, of New Braunfels and Olympia, Washington; his sister Dorothy Coleman Wing of Ft. Worth and sister Sally Coleman Wickes of Eugene, Oregon and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. Ron Drengler and his team of many helpful doctors, nurses and caregivers at the START Center for Cancer Care in San Antonio.

Mike will be laid to rest in a private family graveside service in Victoria, Texas.
