Melton Michael McCright, age 65, went to be with the Lord on January 14, 2015. He was born on May 9, 1949 in Monahans, TX to Ernest Melton & Maude Ann McCright. He was a proud U.S. Navy veteran and a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Rosemary and Barbara; and brother, Claude.
Michael is survived by his daughter, Kaylyn Ann McCright and her mother Jeanette Popham; step-children, Fernando Castanares, Marisela Castanares , Javier Castanares and wife Greta; grandchildren, Aiden Castanares, Gage Castanares, Maddox Ovalles, Joaquin Ovalles and Drew Ovalles; brother, Eddie Groves; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be at 6pm, Sunday, January 25, 2015 followed by a 7 pm Prayer Service at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel.
The Graveside Service will be at 9:15 am, Monday, January 26, 2015 at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery with Navy Honors.
