Mike S. Marquez

Mike S. Marquez born on September 7, 1924 in San Antonio, TX went to be with the Lord on April 18, 2012 at the age of 87 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and received the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with two Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal, Meritorious Unit Award and World War II Victory Medal. He retired from Civil Service at Lackland Air Force Base. Mr. Marquez was an avid musician and a member of various Mariachi and Trio Groups. He is survived by his beloved wife, Natividad D. Marquez; daughters and son, Gudalupe Guillen (Jose), Mike D. Marquez, Jr. (Anita), Victoria M. Romero (Henry) and Isabel M. Degollado (Carlos); grandchildren, Sandra Gomez (Jerry), Juan M. Guillen, Jr., Miguel G. Marquez, III, Marissa Bermudez (Joey), and Christian N. Degollado; great grandchildren, Ericka Guillen, J.J., Briana and Ariana Gomez, Daniel and Annalise Guillen, Jordan and Xavier Bermudez and Mikaela Marquez; cousins, Tiburcio and Alfonso Solis. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A procession will depart from the funeral home at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2012 for a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Christ the King Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
