Mildred "Polly" Schaller

On Saturday, November 5; in the evening hours - Mildred "Polly" Schaller passed away very peacefully in her sleep; in her own home in San Antonio, Texas - with family and friends surrounding her at the time. Ms.Schaller succumbed to emphysema after a hard battle with the disease. Her husband, Mr. Richard "Dick" Schaller; passed away in 1989; leaving Ms.Schaller to continue her life for 22 years; and after such a long time, they have finally been reunited. She is preceded in death by 2 sisters, and survived by 3.

She is survived by 3 children: Linda Thiele, Roy Lawtum, and Richard & Connie Schaller. Ms.Schaller was blessed with a large family; and has 6 grandchildren: Troy & Tammy Thiele, Billy Thiele, Michael Stigers, Danielle Kirkendall, Roy J. Lawtum, and Dawn & Gilbert Castillo. A large loving family of 9 great-grandchildren, and one, great-great-grandchild; as well as extended family and many dear friends.

The family wishes to thank all of the nurses and assistants that blessed her life; and enriched our lives by giving us more quality time with her.

Polly is now looking down upon us all; and being reunited with those she loves; and those that love her. We are sure that her husband "Dick" was waiting with open arms; and they have finally been reunited for all of eternity.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00pm on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 with visitation one hour prior at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
