

A Merchant Marine during WWII, Millard returned to graduate from the University of Texas as a mechanical engineer, after which he worked with Judson Candies for many years.
Later, he became Chief Engineer at University Hospital and retired in 1995. Millard was a member of the Texas Society of Professional Engineers, Alamo Kiwanis and Town Club, and he also served as President of the NISD School Board of Trustees.
An active member of Alamo Heights United Methodist Church, Millard will be remembered as an avid outdoorsman, hunter, fisherman and a great story teller. His robust, enthusiastic laugh brightened most all of his conversations.
Millard was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Bush Judson, and is survived by his wife of 16 years, Jean Koebel Judson; his daughters and sons-in-law, Rosemary and Bob Janney, Carol and James Fallon, and Jean and Tom Countryman; step-son and wife, Andy and April Koebel; and step-daughter and husband, Melanie and Lt. Col, Kenneth Polasek. Millard will be greatly missed as well by his grandchildren, Robert, Jessica, Elizabeth, Jennifer, Jaclynn, Matthew, William, Rachel and Stephen; his step-grandchildren, Brandon and Emily Howard, and Leticia Smith; his brother and sister-in-law, George and Ruth Judson; his sister, June Whitaker Miller; many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Bill Bode, Clay Roby, Fred Sumner, Stan Kuenstler, and Ed Cody.
