

Miyuki Shiraza Bojescul age 76 our beloved mother entered peacefully into eternal rest on May 29, 2010 after a courageous battle with Leukemia. She was born October 25, 1933 in Hamamasu, Hokkaido, Japan. She is preceded in death by her parents, Fukumatsu and Miki Kobayashi Shiraza, her husband Adrian Bojescul; son-in-law, Timothy Simmons; grandson, Michael Bojescul; as well as a sister and brother. Studying English at a library in Hokkaido, Japan she met our father Adrian Bojescul, while he was on active duty with the United States Army. They married approximately one year later in 1955 and moved to the United States in 1956. She later became a naturalized US Citizen. She was a courageous woman, mother and role model with an indomitable spirit for life and family. She possessed a wonderful sense of humor and laughed often and she will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her sister, Miyo Masuko of Sapporro, Japan; her children, Mary and husband Greg Jerrell of McLean Virginia, Mathilda and husband Jeff Ortiz of Castroville, Texas, Margaret and husband Ray Clinger of Navarre, Florida and John Bojescul of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren, Amanda, Tyler, Nathan and Alyssa Jerrell, Kristi and husband Eric Silva, Brian Simmons, Carrie and husband Jeff Komives, Kyle and Cameron Clinger; great-grandchildren, Isaac and Isaiah Silva and Connor Woller; brother-in-law, Sylvius and wife Hilda Bojescul; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Alex Brown and the entire medical staff at the Hematology/Oncology ward as well as the Apheresis Team at Wilford Hall Medical Center for their exceptional care and compassion during our mother's medical treatments. Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Porter Loring.
