Sorry for the loss of Aunt Molly, she was a nice lady, from what I remember the times we met when we were kids, God bless,you all..

I am blessed and grateful for the privilege of having Molly Van Wicklen in my life for 32 years. I met Molly when I was 17. She was like a mother to me from the beginning of our relationship and even more so after the sudden death of my parents 9 years later. What she taught me are too many things to mention, but I confidently say that at a young age and throughout my life, she affected me in profoundly positive ways that helped shape the better parts of who I have become as an adult. We laughed a lot. She made me feel special. We never had a negative exchange between us. Molly was an attentive, loving wife to John and mother to Matt and Steve. She was a good friend. She rarely said anything negative about anyone. I had a safe place to confide in her and she always gave me solid, straight-forward advice. She was true to herself and looked for authenticity in others. Molly was special in so many ways ?conscientious, kind, polite, extremely thoughtful and I loved her attention to detail. Her senses were keen; she noticed the way things smelled, tasted and looked. She appreciated the small things in life and doted on anyone who visited her home. She loved the color and fragrance of lavender. She was also clever, social, had a great sense of humor. At times she and I would laugh so hard, we couldn't stop. Molly touched the hearts of many. She was beyond generous ?always giving unconditionally. I enjoyed shopping with her ?but I'd have to be careful what I noticed and liked because she'd want to buy it for me. One time Molly and I spent a full day searching for a pair of stylish eyeglasses for her. We went to several stores and ironically ended up back at the first one, buying the first pair she had tried on. We had a lot of fun in the creative process. I appreciated the way she corrected our English language and even now I am aware I am using the word "she" too many times in my sentences ?as Molly would say, "who's that, the cat's mother?" or something like that?. She drove us crazy from time to time when she jumped from one subject to another we called her the "grasshopper" and talked about people we had never met. She had the ability to laugh at herself and get us all laughing. I loved our afternoon tea with Pepperidge Farm cookies or english muffins. I'll never forget her mini-minced meat pies dusted with powdered sugar, her popovers, triffle and lemon curd. She was charitable. We all benefited from the extras when she baked and knitted for events for the Daughters of the British Empire. I'll always cherish the special knitted poncho she made for me ?it's like a warm hug. There is no way to describe all the ways Molly was special to me. I am truly honored to have had her in my life for so many years. I miss her very much ?she'll always be with me in spirit. After reading the write up about your mom she did lived a rich and full life.We are sorry about your loss.

She was a dear friend who will be missed by all. I have always enjoyed our times together. I know that she and Lee will be together in Heaven.
