She is preceded in death by her parents Edwin and Eleanor Harris and brother Mickey. She is survived by her loving husband, Howard Alwais, brother Gary Harris and sister Elna Harris, her 7 children, Debi Barnett, Connie Barnett, Gary Barnett, Bruce Barnett, Melissa Alwais, Sarah Alwais and Eric Alwais, her grandchildren Shawn, Brandon, Samantha, Ashleigh, Tabatha, Kenneth, Ben, Gabby, Bryce, Blair, Ta, Nora and Nate.
Myrna was born and raised in Aruba, with her siblings, as her father worked for Lago Oil. She and Howard married in June of 1969 in San Antonio. They volunteered in many capacities at Agudas Achim Synagogue and the Brandies Book Sales as well as worked at the family-owned Toy Box. Myrna loved to spend time with her extended family and traveling, counting her visit to Israel as one of her favorite trips.
Funeral Services on Friday, December 31, 2021 at 1:00 PM - 1727 Austin Hwy, San Antonio, TX 78218. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to The Alwais School Fund at Agudas Achim.
