She was born in Chihuahua and was raised in San Luis Potosi until her move to San Antonio, as a boarding student in the late 1930's, where she attended and graduated from Our Lady of the Lake High School.
She was a longtime member of St. Paul's Catholic Church and also worked as a histology technician with Nix Hospital and then with private laboratories.
After her retirement, she served as a docent volunteer with the Institute of Texan Cultures, a position in which she won achievement awards.
Her adventuresome spirit led her, with her best friend and traveling companion, Frances McCarthy, to Alaska, Russia, China and her favorite, Africa.
Survivors: nephew, Henry Lee Morris and wife, Judy, Hinsdale, IL; numerous great nieces and nephews, as well as extended family and friends, who loved her and will miss her dearly.
