Nettie Blumberg

She was born April 29, 1935, in Houston, to Sol and Rebecca Gollob. A selfless and giving person, Nettie was an OB Nurse at Metropolitan Hospital and what was once the Humana Women's and Children's Hospital, in San Antonio. She later became the Director of Nurses for various home health agencies. After her retirement, she volunteered as a Blue Bird at Methodist Hospital. She was a member of the Lupus Foundation, Temple Beth El, ORT and Hadassah.

Nettie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by all of those who loved and knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Annie Mae and her husband, Bernard Sonny Pearlman. Nettie is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Melvin Blumberg; children, Jay G. Blumberg and wife, Nancy, Rebecca A. Goldman and husband, Charles, Joel S. Blumberg and wife, Ellie, Debra S. Schindler and husband, Eliot; niece and nephew; Mitzi and Jerry Pearlman; great-nephew, Justin Pearlman; 12 grandchildren, Jacob, Jeffrey, Sarah, Hannah and Benjamin Blumberg, Joshua, Jillian, Jamie and Jake Goldman, Ashley, Juliana and Jason Schindler; cousin Maury Gollob and wife, Susan.
