She attended McMurry University and received her Bachelor's in Music. Neysa was a faithful member of Laurel Heights United Methodist Church, very involved in the church choir and was the choir accompanist for many years. She also taught Music and English in the S.A.I.S.D.
Neysa was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Sommerville and daughter; Melinda Sommerville.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Sommerville and his wife Michelle, four grandchildren; Larissa, Chaz, Christa, and Mac, one great-granddaughter, Leila, and numerous nieces and nephews.
