Six months after meeting they wed and would be happily married, navigating this world, A beautiful life they created of unconditional love.
Nick, although a simple man, had a few passions in his life from his love of bowling which led to him being on a bowling league and scoring perfect 300’s, to collecting baseball cards, coins and memorabilia. His curiosity for what was beyond this world made his interest in Aliens and all things Sy-fi a daily habit of Alien TV shows playing in the background while he’d play poker on the computer. And if it wasn’t Sy-fi it was the National Geographic channel as animals were a huge passion because his wife. They had fish, a pig, a tortoise, sugar gliders throughout their marriage and his beloved Pug Bubba which was a gift from Yolanda early on in their marriage. He also supported the Shriner hospital, Boysville and was an advocate for supporting people less fortunate and who grew up in a similar circumstance to him. He’d enjoy going out to eat with his wife and grandkids. Some of his favorite cuisines would be Chinese food, Mexican, Pizza, Red Lobster and Golden Coral just to name a few.
He was preceded in death by his Father and Mother; his beloved best friend Bubba the dog; and his half-brother Jim B. on his father’s side. He is survived by his wife Yolanda Bolum; his stepdaughter Adrianne Corza; and his three grandchildren, Jonathan, Christopher and Gabriella Corza; his great grandchild Lucas Corza and his half-siblings Linda, Jim and Jack Murphy.
Nicholas will be remembered for his bigger than life heart, the biggest grin, his loving spirit and infections laugh. When Yolanda and Nick met, he said he was just a “common dude” and he couldn’t have been further from common. He will and forever be loved and missed. A man who showed unconditional love every day when he didn’t know that himself growing up just goes to show how he was a heavenly angel and a blessing to all who knew and loved him.
With love, his family ❤️
