Nicholas graduated from John Marshall High School and received his Masters Degree from Trinity University.
He was employed by Century 21 United Action Realty and active in St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia A. Lawrence Melvin of Schertz, TX; parents, Dr. Walter W. Melvin, Jr. and wife, Phyllis D. Melvin of Fort Collins, CO.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church Memorial Fund, or to the Animal Defense League.
