Nola Marie Haecker

She was born in San Antonio on January 26, 1923 to Edward Friesenhahn and Olga Sauer

Friesenhahn. She married the love of her life, Harold Henry Haecker on March 3, 1943

at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Selma, Texas. They had two children, Beverly

Jean and Jerry Edward.

Harold began his profession as a plumber when he returned to San Antonio following his

service in World War II. Harold and Nola both worked for Grimsinger Plumbing

Company until October 1, 1965 when they purchased the plumbing business and changed

the name to Grimsinger Haecker Plumbing Company. They ran the plumbing business

together until their retirement in 1985 when they sold their business. Harold and Nola

loved to travel and were fortunate to have been able to travel with their very good friends

as well as their family. They also enjoyed dancing, bowling and playing bunco with

friends that they often knew prior to their marriage and to whom they still remain very

close.

Nola is survived by her husband Harold, her daughter Beverly Haug and husband Roger

of Lockhart and her son Jerry and his wife Belinda. She is also survived by her

grandchildren, Laurie and Patrick Davis and their children, Alyssa, Marilyn Jean and Jodi

Davis, Travis and Monica Haug and their children, Hunter, Hannah and Haylee Haug,

Adam and Michelle Haecker, Ryan Haecker and Amanda Haecker. She is also survived

by her brother, Milton Friesenhahn and his wife Billie as well as six nieces and one

nephew and their families.

A rosary will be recited at St. Pius X Catholic Church on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at 7:00 PM and

a funeral mass will be held at St. Pius X on Friday, January 21, 2011 at 11:00 AM.

A luncheon will be held in the Family Center immediately following the Mass.

Internment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum at 3:00 PM on Friday.

The pallbearers will be Travis Haug, Adam Haecker,

Ryan Haecker, Patrick Davis, Ed Basha and Darrell Hild.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Pius X School Fund.
