Ofilia Gamez Menchaca born on December 24, 1926 in San Antonio, Texas went to be with our Lord on October 19, 2016. She is preceded in death by her parents Epifanio and Maria Gamez, her three sisters, daughter Consuelo and sons Reynaldo and Mario Arriaga. She is survived by her children Olivia Arriaga Lopez (Alfred), Eva A. Cantu (Ricky), Cecil Menchaca (Grace), and Sylvia Chapa (Alfred); 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren. In her spare time Ofilia loved being with her family, listening to music, cooking and watching her San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Cowboys. She prayed every night before going to sleep for her family and will be missed by them, her friends; dog (Sergeant) and bird (Bebe).The visitation will begin on Tuesday October 25, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home located at 226 Cupples Road with the rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. The funeral procession will depart the funeral home on Wednesday October 26, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. for an 11:30 mass at Saint John Berchmans. Interment will follow at Mission Park South Cemetery.
