

Olivia was born in Laredo to Juan and Benita Gamboa on October 4, 1950. She married Armando Flores on June 20, 1989, at the courthouse. She graduated from Fox Tech High School & St Phillips College. She worked for Kidney Dialysis Center for 11 years and retired as a phlebotomist in 2013. She is the Wife of a Vietnam Veteran and she was a proud supporter of SA Classics.
Olivia is preceded in death by her parents Juan and Benita Gamboa, brothers Juan Gamboa, Margarito Gamboa, Rene Gamboa, Oscar Gamboa, Raul Gamboa, sisters: Ernestina Tays, Isabel Escobar, Amparo Villasenor.
Olivia is survived by her husband Armando P. Flores, daughter Stephanie Tristan; step-children Diane Steiner (Al), Roy Flores (Loretta), Mary Rios; son-in-law David Tristan, brothers Augustin and Hector Gamboa; sisters Zulema Calderon (Richard) and Dolores Blancarte (Raymond); grandchildren Ambree, Serenity, David, Caillou, Brian, Leslie (Guillermo), Tiffany (Robbie), Nathan; great- grandchildren Angelo, Antonio, Mariah, Jacien, Kaven, Noah and Luna, and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Nathan Flores, Brian Mauricio, Jacien Mauricio, Richard Gamboa, Brian Salinas, Ambree Tristan, Serenity Fuentes, and Mariah Mauricio.
A visitation for Olivia will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, TX 78238. A rosary will be recited on Monday, October 27, 2025 at 7:00 PM, 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, TX 78238. A chapel service will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at 10:00 AM, 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, TX 78238. A committal service will follow on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at 11:15 AM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
