She is survived by her two sons, Rick and Michael; her grandchildren, Erin and Trevor; as well as her five siblings, Bruni Laurel, Alonzo Sáenz, Sylvia Sáenz, Raymundo Sáenz and Rosa Sáenz.
Olivia grew up in Hebbronville, Texas and had a great desire to spend her last days there. She worked for most of her professional life with the IRS, and in her retirement had a rummage/antique shop called 20th Century South Town, where she took joy in meeting new people and haggling out a good deal.
She had the heart of an artist and a performer and will always be remembered for her vivacious personality, her beautiful singing voice and her sharp sense of humor. She ignited strong feelings in everyone who knew her, and it was impossible not to love her. She commanded attention, energized a room and had the flair of a movie star. Beyond all of this, she was wise and insightful, with a great understanding of human nature. She will be greatly missed.
A service will be held at Porter Loring Mortuary North at 1:00 pm on Friday, September 16, 2016. Interment immediately following at Holy Cross Cemetery, 17501 Nacogdoches Rd, San Antonio.
