Oscar Gamboa

T Sgt. Oscar Gamboa, U.S. Air Force Ret., born on August 7, 1934 in Laredo, Texas was called to be with our Lord on January 26, 2016 at the age of 81. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Yolanda Thompson; parents, Juan and Benita Gamboa; sister, Isabel Escobar, Amparo Villasenor and Ernestine Tays; brother, Margarito Gamboa. He is survived by his wife, Annie P. Gamboa; daughters, Eva Gamboa, Becky Sanchez (Taz) and Cheri Curviel; son, Richard Curviel (Lois); grandchildren, Crystal Vela and Jesse Leija II; 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Dolores Blancarte (Ray), Zulema Calderon (Richard) and Olivia Flores (Armando); brothers, Juan Gamboa, Raul Gamboa (Socorro), Rene Gamboa (Beatrice), Agustine Gamboa (Penny) and Hector Gamboa (Hope); numerous other grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Windsor Mission Oaks nursing home for all of their care and support. The Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday, January 31, 2016 at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be conducted on Monday, February 1, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with The Rev. Charles Flowers and The Rev. Mark Linares officiating. Interment will follow in First Memorial Park.
