He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for over 50 years and a long time member of Trinity Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Clarice Moore and son, Luther Moore.
He is survived by his daughters, Priscilla Donowho and husband Dr. Rick Donowho of Spring Branch, Sybil Walters and husband Gary of Arlington, and Fran Awbrey and husband Timothy of Garden Ridge; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and sister, Berta Britz of La Porte, TX.
