

Pam was born on March 22, 1951 in Refugio, Texas and was educated at Corpus Christi Carroll High School, Del Mar Junior College Associate's Degree; Baylor University Bachelor's Degree Education and The University of Texas at San Antonio Master's Degree Education. She began her 35-year teaching career in Cotulla and also taught in Poteet, South San Antonio, Waco, Houston, and Arlington. For the last 23 years, she was a Reading Specialist at her beloved Passmore Elementary in Northside ISD, San Antonio.
Pam was a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas.
Survivors include her husband, David W. McLain; her son, J.P. and wife, Charissa Dallas; her daughter, Emily McCoy, husband Ian, and grandson Aidan Evans Mills, New York; her parents, Don and JoAnn King Corpus Christi; her sisters, Diane Boatman and husband Roy Hurst, and Susan Soliz Corpus Christi; mother and father-in-law, Warren and Lucille McLain Colorado Springs; and three nephews; four great-nephews; two great-nieces; two aunts; two uncles; nine cousins; and one sister-in-law. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Fred and Bartha Wenette and George and Valeria King; and two uncles, Harold King and Presley Wernette.
