Pastora Maria Luisa Lopez

Maria Luisa Lopez was born in Monterrey, Mexico, to Luis H. Bustamante and Librada De La Rosa. She was one of five children, having four siblings. From a young age, she worked diligently in many occupations, always demonstrating a strong work ethic, humility, and a deep sense of responsibility.

Among her various roles, her most cherished was serving as a seamstress for Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. Her exceptional craftsmanship and dedication earned her a U.S Presidential Recognition and recognition from top high‑ranking Military Officials. She took great pride in serving her country by tailoring and altering the uniforms of the United States Air Force soldiers, a service she performed with honor and precision.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Maria Luisa Lopez devoted her life to her family. She played a central and nurturing role in raising her grandchildren and great‑grandchildren, offering them unconditional love, guidance, and unwavering support. She was a devoted wife to Pastor Francisco F. Lopez, caring for him faithfully until the end of his life.

A devoted servant of God, Maria Luisa Lopez dedicated her life to ministry. She faithfully preached the Word of God to all who encountered her and was widely known as a woman of profound faith and compassion. Together with her husband, Pastor Francisco F. Lopez, she built a strong and impactful ministry. She taught Sunday school for married women, widows, and single parents, always offering encouragement, wisdom, and spiritual guidance.

Her ministry extended to giving to those in need, praying for the hurt, and anointing the sick. She was Pastor of Iglesia Pentecoste Cristo el Agua De Vida in the 1980s and 1990s through ownership. She continued her Pastoral ministry to other churches, and then again at Casa de Oracion Pentecostes from 2004 to 2014 through ownership as well.

Maria Luisa Lopez found joy in many hobbies, including gardening, taking care of her household, cooking for her family—especially during the holidays—and hosting regular family gatherings and celebrations. She enjoyed dining out, walking through downtown San Antonio and along the River Walk, and spending meaningful time in conversation and prayer with friends, family, and church members. Many nights were spent in meditation, reading scripture, and praying.

She also loved sewing garments, altering clothing, crocheting, and creating new pieces for her home and family. Her interests included shopping for antiques and collectibles, and traveling, pursuits that brought her great delight.

Maria Luisa Lopez leaves behind a legacy defined by faith, service, and love. Her life touched countless hearts, and her example will continue to inspire all who had the blessing of knowing her.”

“María Luisa López nació en Monterrey, México, hija de Luis H. Bustamante y Librada De La Rosa. Fue una de cinco hermanos, con cuatro hermanos. Desde joven, trabajó diligentemente en diversas ocupaciones, demostrando siempre una sólida ética laboral, humildad y un profundo sentido de la responsabilidad.

Entre sus múltiples ocupaciones, el que más apreciaba era el de costurera en la Base Aérea Lackland, Texas. Su excepcional destreza y dedicación le valieron un reconocimiento presidencial de los Estados Unidos y el de altos mandos militares. Sentía gran orgullo al servir a su país confeccionando y modificando los uniformes de los soldados de la Fuerza Aérea de los Estados Unidos, un servicio que desempeñó con honor y precisión.

Más allá de sus logros profesionales, María Luisa López dedicó su vida a su familia. Desempeñó un papel fundamental en la crianza de sus nietos y bisnietos, ofreciéndoles amor incondicional, guía y apoyo inquebrantable. Fue una esposa devota del Pastor Francisco F. López, a quien cuidó con fidelidad hasta el final de su vida.

Sierva devota de Dios, María Luisa López dedicó su vida al ministerio. Predicó fielmente la Palabra de Dios a todos los que la conocieron y fue ampliamente reconocida como una mujer de profunda fe y compasión. Junto con su esposo, el Pastor Francisco F. López, construyó un ministerio sólido e influyente. Impartió clases de escuela dominical para mujeres casadas, viudas y padres solteros, ofreciendo siempre aliento, sabiduría y guía espiritual. Su ministerio se extendió a ayudar a los necesitados, orar por los afligidos y ungir a los enfermos. Fue pastora de la Iglesia Pentecostés Cristo el Agua De Vida en las décadas de 1980 y 1990, siendo también propietaria. Continuó su ministerio pastoral en otras iglesias, y luego nuevamente en la Casa de Oración Pentecostés de 2004 a 2014, también como propietaria.

María Luisa López encontraba alegría en muchos pasatiempos, incluyendo la jardinería, el cuidado de su hogar, cocinar para su familia —especialmente durante las fiestas— y organizar reuniones y celebraciones familiares con regularidad. Disfrutaba salir a comer y pasear por la naturaleza. Disfrutaba mucho del centro de San Antonio y del Paseo del Río, compartiendo momentos especiales con amigos, familiares y miembros de su iglesia, conversando y orando. Pasaba muchas noches meditando, leyendo las Escrituras y orando y alabando a Dios.

También le encantaba coser, arreglar ropa, tejer a crochet y crear piezas nuevas para su hogar y su familia. Entre sus aficiones se encontraban buscar antigüedades y objetos de colección, y viajar, actividades que le brindaban gran alegría.

María Luisa López deja un legado marcado por la fe, el servicio y el amor. Su vida tocó innumerables corazones, y su ejemplo seguirá inspirando a todos los que tuvieron la dicha de conocerla.”

Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237, US, on March 26, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm, with a Prayer Service at the same location on March 26, 2026, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A Chapel Service will take place at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237, US, on March 27, 2026, from 11:00 am to 11:45 am, followed by Interment at San Fernando Cemetery III, 1735 Cupples Rd, San Antonio, TX 78226, US, on March 27, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
