Patricia Lynn Cloud

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Martha and Walter Volz.

She is survived by her devoted husband, James “Grizzly” Cloud; her sisters, Jonie Leschber (Charles) and Karen Robinson; as well as her beloved nieces and nephews.

Patricia earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Earlier in her life, she answered a calling to serve others as a nun, during which time she taught English in Mexico—an experience that reflected her deep compassion and love for people.

Patty truly enjoyed being around others and found great joy in reading. She had a gift for connection and a presence that made people feel welcome and seen. One of her most cherished traditions was sharing the holiday spirit alongside her husband, Grizzly, as they played Mr. and Mrs. Claus for orphans—bringing joy, laughter, and warmth to countless children.

Patricia will be remembered for her generous heart, her love of people, and her intoxicating laugh—one so unforgettable it could light up any room. Her kindness, joy, and service to others leave a lasting legacy in the lives of all who knew and loved her.

A Gathering of Family & Friends will be held at Sunset North Funeral Home, located at 910 North Loop 1604 East, San Antonio, Texas, 78232, on February 12, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

A Celebration of Patricia's Life will follow at the same venue, beginning at 11:00 am on February 12, 2026.
