Patricia Anne Holzmann

Patricia Anne Johnson Holzmann, a native of San Antonio. went to be with the Lord on 30 March 2024. A loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, and friend.

Born to William Henry Sr. and Clara Witzemann Johnson on 9 December 1922. A 1940 graduate of Incarnate Word High School, she then attended Tower Secretarial school. She married her high school sweetheart, Herbert A. Holzmann, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church on 28 November 1942.

She was a founding member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and a founding member of the church’s Senior’s Organization (Los Amigos). A member and past circle chairperson of St. Ann’s Circle of Holy Spirit Altar Society, a member of Sultana’s De Bejar, and an associate member of the Northwest NARFE Chapter 1320.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Margaret Locke (Colin-decd) and Lois Reeh (Andrew-decd), brother William Johnson, Jr., sisters-in-law Marjorie Pierce (Glenn-decd), Constance O’Neill (Jim-decd) and Erna Van Delden (Gary-decd), her daughter Stephanie Goben, niece Andrea Miller (Jim), her grandson Noah Weikel, and her husband of 77 years.

She is survived by sons Richard Holzmann, (Rose), Phillip Holzmann (Lana), daughters Janet Weikel (Douglass), Mary Snell and Deborah Marroquin, son-in-law George Goben (Julie), sisters-in-law Dea Johnson and Betty Brunner (Roy), and brother-in-law Frank Holzmann (Cathy-decd).

She has Thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The pallbearers will be brothers Bill and Ben Cleary, Carl Miller, Keith Walthall, Tommy Dowling, and Chris Goben. In lieu of flowers, memorials are desired to Holy Spirit St. Vincent DePaul Society, 758 West Ramsey, San Antonio, Texas 78216, or to the charity of one’s choice.

Arrangements made by Porter Loring North are for Monday, 22 April 2024 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Viewing is 10 a.m. Rosary is 10:30 a.m. Funeral Mass is 11:00 a.m. Followed by burial in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. Celebration of Life is at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Reception Room immediately following internment.
