

Patricia, also known as “Pat” and “Doll” to friends and family, was born to Thomas Martin and Isabel Prevott on May 2, 1952, in San Antonio, Texas. She graduated from Edison High School in 1970 and attended San Antonio College after. She married Warren B. Shumaker III in 1972 and they lived together in San Antonio, Texas. Together they raised two children.
Patricia is survived by her husband Warren B. Shumaker III, and daughters Teresa Shumaker and Penelope Shumaker. She also leaves two grandchildren; River Wyatt and Finn Wyatt; and two siblings, Thomas Martin and Margaret Noble, and many nieces, and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews to cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Martin and Isabel Prevott, her brother Patrick Martin, and nephew Tobin Martin.
Patricia was a loving person who would help anyone and everyone she met. An avid crafter and seamstress, she was always making something. She began her career in accounting but soon made crafting her full-time career while staying home to raise Teresa and Penelope. She was a creative person who loved doting on her family and her legacy will live on not only in her family but in many of the cherished hand-crafted pieces of art she made.
Patricia was a huge supporter of the parks and loved nature. An informal memorial in the Park is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at the Koehler Pavilion in Brackenridge Park. Patricia’s cremated remains will be present at the memorial; no burial is planned.
