Patricia McGovern Kelly Wyatt R.N.

March 9, 1936 – August 22, 2021

On Saturday, August 22, 2021 at 85 years old, Patti went to receive her room in the Father’s house which was prepared for her, John 14:2

Patricia was born in Goshen, New York to Thomas and Virginia McGovern. She grew up in Middletown, New York. She attended nursing school at the Roosevelt Hospital in New York City and received her RN. She married airman 1st class John V Kelly in 1958. Upon his death and after the birth of their son she returned to the Roosevelt Hospital. Upon the death of the mother and previous loss of her father, at the suggestion of a close friend; Barbara from nursing school, she moved to Texas in 1962 and worked at Warm Springs Hospital near Gonzales. She moved to San Antonio and remarried in 1968. She retired from the Downtown Baptist Hospital in 1998. She enjoyed reading, relaxing, classical music, Golden Girls, family get togethers, and her puppies; Bo and Daisy

She was ever generous, a funny sense of humor and a loving mother. We will miss you deeply.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother, husband John V Kelly and her companion Roy D Wyatt. She is survived by son; John V. Kelly (Penelope), sister in law Helen Kelly Labarge and extended family, Beverly Hearn (Jason), Tristan, Tyler (Lauren), Kaley, Caroline, Landon, and Weston Hearn, John D. Wyatt (Jackie) and Donna Vidales

Due to COVID-19 a family viewing will be the evening of September 1, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home followed by a private family graveside service at 11 AM on September 2 at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude’s, SA Food Bank, Animal Defense League.
