Our beloved Patrick Dennis Casey, came into this world on January 9th, 1972. He was a bouncy blue-eyed curly red-haired baby. From the moment he could walk he never sat still. As a first generation American in a single mother household, he had to find his way in this world. He loved to socialize; he never met a stranger. He went all around making friends and lifetime connections through his charismatic nature. His mom Elizabeth worked many jobs in many different places all throughout Texas. He was a true Texas boy, but San Antonio was his true stomping ground. However, he grew up watching Pittsburgh Steelers legends dominate in the 70’s, which made them his favorite football team. He played football at Lee high school where he learned camaraderie and grit among brothers.
He brought those skills into his young work life, and he inherited his hard-working demeanor and gift of gab from his mom. He had many different jobs where he developed expertise in a little bit of everything which helped him form an outstanding track record and made him set to be a father. Although he worked a lot, he knew how to have fun and made time for himself whether it was trips to the beach, tubing on the river, biking through the woods, crowd surfing at concerts, or lifting at the gym. Eventually, Patrick crossed paths with Christina, and he knew she was the love of his life. Patrick and Christina bonded together superbly and had unmatched chemistry. Their love for each other brought about the biggest blessing they received in their lives, their only son, Patrick Dennis Casey II, their little P.J. Their family was complete, and they had a new profound purpose to work for. Patrick used his skills and expertise to pursue a new profession in real estate and Christina joined him. He became a licensed realtor in 2008 and within 10 years earned an esteemed reputation as one of the top leasing agents in San Antonio. He made a living off of rental commissions and crowned himself the “Lease King”. He got phone calls from realtors all around Texas asking him how he was able to be successful just doing rentals.
Patrick and Christina hung their licenses under Liberty Property Management where they worked as a team. They were mentored by their broker, Kevin Knight. Kevin was a father figure to Patrick that taught him how to be a better realtor and make sales other than just leases. Patrick had another job, working as a realtor by day and as a waiter by night at a restaurant called Boudros on the San Antonio river walk, where he made more clients for real estate. Patrick and Christina saved up to buy their first home in 2013 and were able to do more leisurely activities. Patrick had a love for mountain biking and has a precious selective collection of mountain bikes. Their family went to mountain bike races all over Texas seeing the beautiful scenery of the vast Texas landscapes. They also went on many vacations to Steeler games in Houston, Dallas, New York, Miami, and Las Vegas and went to beach resorts in Mexico, from Cancun, Cabo San Lucas, and Costa Rica as far as South America to Aruba.
In late 2021, Patrick and his Family had a nightmare vacation in Cabo. Patrick got really sick and had to go to the hospital. The doctors discovered he had tumors on his lungs. He was only given eight months to live but he lived for four years with sheer willpower and the love he had for his family. He battled cancer with a warrior mentality that he always possessed. He did 90 chemotherapy treatments over those four years while still working, having fun, and making beautiful memories. Patrick passed away on November 25th, 2025, after a long hard battle. His fighting spirit inspired so many people. He is survived by his wife, Christina, his son P.J, and his mom Elizabeth.
