Patsy Steubing, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully in her sleep December 31, 2012 after a courageous 4 year battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her father, Curt Charles Miller and mother, Minnie Miller. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Vastine Steubing; children: Rusty, Suzi, Larry, Scott and wife Angela, Melissa and husband Mike Benson; grandchildren: Matthew, Brandon, Jacob and wife Wilhelmina, Joshua and wife Christy, Sara, Ashley, Kathryn, Kyle, Nathan; great-granddaughters: Elisabeth and Esther.
The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to her doctors: Dr. Walsh, Dr. Medellin, Dr. Richmond, Dr. Etlinger, and Dr. Guerra for their continued care and consideration, as well as the helpful and compassionate oncology nurses and staff of the Metropolitan Methodist Hospital.
Visitation will be 5-8p.m., Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home. A funeral service will be 9 a.m., on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
