

Patsy Ann Ziegler, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend was called to be with the Lord on June 2, 2016. She was 87 years old. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on February 16, 1929. She graduated from Jefferson High School and attended Trinity University.
Patsy was fondly referred to as Honey by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a devoted mother and her family always came first. She was a gorgeous woman who had an elegant and graceful demeanor and always dressed impeccably. She was a cheerful soul and had a kind and gentle spirit. She was very upbeat and positive. She loved her church, St. David's Episcopal. She also was passionate about her San Antonio Spurs.
Patsy enjoyed her active membership in the Junior League of San Antonio. She was an enthusiastic volunteer at Santa Rosa Hospital and Sunshine Cottage. She also thoroughly enjoyed her memorable times spent in the hill country at the family ranch in Mason County hosting family and friends. She always enjoyed her summers at Key Allegro in Rockport, Texas. Patsy had a great time traveling with her husband and many friends. She also enjoyed playing tennis, playing Onze with her friends and was an active member of the Veinte Uno Club.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Stella M. Burge; father Angelo J. Battaglia and son-in-law, Robert P. Conger. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Thad M. Ziegler; children, Thad W. Ziegler and wife, Lynn and Lori Z. Conger; grandchildren, Thad C. Ziegler (wife Anna), William F. Ziegler (wife Valerie), Brent Conger (wife Hayley), Barbara Z. Schenker (husband Max), Hunter Z. Conger (wife Mary); 11 great grandchildren, Hunt Conger, Catie Conger, Hallie Ziegler, Thad R. Ziegler, Lyles Conger, Maddie Conger, Vivienne Ziegler, Elaine Ziegler, Pack Conger, Forrest Ziegler, Ty Schenker; her sister, Jean McGarr; and many nieces and nephews.
The family extends deep gratitude for the outstanding care provided by the home health care ladies who helped Patsy through her later years with loving care namely, Griselda, Linda, Rosemary, Juanita, Hope, Margarita, Lupita and Suki. The family would also like to thank Dr. Heberto Garza and the wonderful people with Hospice for their compassionate care and support.
