An experienced "marble maestro," he was the founder and owner of Custom Marble from 1981 to present.
Paul was an avid traveler, having experienced the cultures of Southeast Asia, Central America and Europe. He enjoyed taking sculpture classes and socializing with the local art community.
Paul loved working on the country home he and his father built together in Quihi, Texas, as well as the 1966 aqua and white Chevrolet truck his father left him.
An animal-lover since he was a young boy, he owned many cats and dogs, as well as unusual pets such as skunks, a falcon and ringtail cat. Paul loved taking trips to the Texas gulf coast, where he enjoyed fishing and camping on the beach.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Flores and Helen Virginia Fryar Flores.
Paul is survived by his daughters, Lauren Dianne and Sara Danielle Flores; mother of his children, Nancy Castilleja; sister, Cyndi Flores; niece Tanya Leigh Flores, many cousins with whom he stayed very close. He was a loving father, brother and uncle and will be missed by all.
Visitation will be held on day Tuesday, July 16, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Porter Loring on McCullough Ave.
