'Thank you for trying to teach me how to water ski. For four years in a row we got out on lake LBJ every summer and you tried to teach me how to ski. It didn't work. I kept taking up the slack by bending my arms instead of lifting them over my head. My ski's would slide forward out from under me and I would fall...again! You were always so patient though. I remember at one point you wanted to duck tape my elbows straight so I could not bend my arms...we should have tried that.'

'There is not a enough room to say all the wonderful things that Paul has meant to us and has done for us. 
Genie and Paul were our neighbors at the lake. 
From the get go, Paul was there to bail us out one trouble after another. 
This uncludes saving us from poisonous snakes, rescuing our boys in their boats and dragging me out of the water. 
He had a tool that could fix everything we had broke. 
Once you got him going, he was not shy on telling ya how the world could be a better place. 
Bottom line: If you were a friend of Paul...it was forever and there wasn't anything he would do for you. 
My wife, our sons and I are going to miss his unsolicted advise and his loving friendship'
