

Paul Howard Sickler, age 80, passed away on May 5, 2022, in San Antonio, TX. He was born on June 15, 1941, in Sayre, PA, to parents, Carlton Sickler and Ginny Newman Sickler. He was a veteran of the US Army having served in the Vietnam War. He worked for the federal goverment as a Facilities Manager and Contract Specialist at the Patent and Trademark Office in Washington, DC.
As an Army brat, Paul lived throughout the country graduating high school in Anchorage, Alaska. After serving and retiring from the Army, Paul settled in Syracuse, NY, eventually moving to Clearwater, FL, Tallahasse, FL, Dallas, TX, and, finally in San Antonio. Afterward, with his lifetime partner, Carlos Saavedra, they moved to Colorado Springs, CO, and Washington, DC. In 2012, both retired from their respective careers and moved back to San Antonio.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Carlton and Ginny Sickler; and his brothers, Alfred and Donny. Paul is survived by his lifetime partner, Carlos Saavedra, his San Antonio family, and many dear friends across the country.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, on Monday, May 16, 2022, at Porter Loring North Chapel.
