Paula Tritt Peacock, cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, went to be with the Lord on December 18, 2021. She died peacefully at home, just days after celebrating 67 years of marriage to the love of her life, Richard M. (Dick) Peacock. Paulas love for the Lord was closely followed by her love for her family. She was proud of each one of her children and grandchildren, loving each as if they were the only one. Paula was known for her amazing energy and enjoyment of any activity that allowed her to be with people. Tennis was her almost daily passion when their children were young, followed by a long and successful career in real estate. In recent years she had taken up golf and was still looking forward to the day she could get back out on the course. Paula, though, was never too busy for her family and friends. Her daily prayer was for the Lord to show her those needing a call of support or a listening ear. Her godly wisdom and spiritual support were treasured and will be missed by all who knew her.
Paula also found time to volunteer, working with several organizations including Trinity Baptist Church, The Junior League of San Antonio, The Charity Ball Association, The Battle of Flowers Association, The Green Hand Garden Club and others.
Paulas love, light and laughter filled any room she entered, and all will miss her spark. Paula was preceded in death by her parents William Earl Tritt and Minerva Tritt, and two of her sisters and their spouses - Jackie Tritt Loring (Porter) and June Tritt Fallon (Frank). She is survived by her husband, Richard (Dick) M. Peacock; and their children and spouses, Linda and Brad Camp, Paige and Bob Vanosky, and Richard and Brooke Peacock. She is also survived by their grandchildren, Michele Camp, Allyson Camp, Richard (Cardo) M. Peacock III, and Harrison Byrnes Tritt Peacock. She remained a close and loving sister to Leah Tritt Green (Hubert deceased).
The family appreciates the loving care provided by Sally, Carmel, Pamela, Arly, Denise and "O."
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on December 22, 2021, at Trinity Baptist Church, 319 E. Mulberry Avenue, San Antonio, Texas 78212, with a reception to follow. Memorials may be made to Trinity Baptist Church or the charity of your choice.
