Sometime around 1976, my father took me to see Polly & Kyle at La Mansion del Norte. I  was stunned at how she could  play the guitar at the same time her feet were pumping out that beat. A legend in her time, she's left a mark that's indelible. 
" And when God gave out the rhythm, he sure was good to you." ❤️

I was incredibly blessed to know Polly for about 3 years. I wish I had known her longer. She first accompanied me at one of my gigs at the Hotel Emma, and from there, we continued to play many more times together. Her kind, down to earth, joyful, and humorous  personality always put me at ease when we performed together. I can only say that so many of us in the jazz community will miss her great friendship, talent, and zest for music. The wonderful memories I have of working  with Polly will stay with me forever. My thoughts are with her family and friends during this time.
