Pauline Elizabeth Mize, born November 12, 1905 in Millwood, Missouri, to Paul and Mary Viola Mudd Shocklee, died at home on July 1, 2001. She attended high school in Silex, Missouri. She took her senior high school year in Arcadia, Missouri at Ursuline Academy, then attended Webster College in St. Louis, Missouri and Northeast Missouri Teachers College at Kirksville, Missouri. She taught school in rural elementary schools and also in Silex, Missouri. She married Leo E. Mize of Winfield, Missouri, on June 1, 1929. She and Leo moved to San Antonio, Texas in 1944. She is pre-deceased by her parents and three brothers and one grandchild. She is survived by Mr. Mize and six children, Mary Elva Sanford, Leota Hurt, Robert A. Mize and Judy K. Gleaton all of San Antonio, Mona Ann Powell of Bloomfield, N.M., Leo E. Mize, Jr. of Milpitas, CA, as well as 14 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
