Peggy Phillips Blank, born July 25, 1933 in Crowley, Louisiana, passed away on November 4, 2018 at the age of 85. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Jewell Phillips. Peggy is survived by her husband of 65 years, Charles Ralph Blank Jr; daughters, Cynthia Blank Burt and Jenni Blank Parnon (Mike); grandchildren, Amelia Corbett (Nate), Charlie Burt (Tyler), Kathleen Burt, John Parnon, Sam Parnon (Adrienne), Scott; and great granddaughter, Charlotte Corbett. Peggy loved to travel, visiting many countries and six continents. She owned a tour guide business and led many tours herself both locally and internationally. She also owned a retail shop for Native American items.
She was a devoted member at MacArthur Park Church of Christ and enjoyed volunteering on the fellowship committee. She also enjoyed volunteering at Night in Old Antonio and as a docent at the McNay Art Museum.
Peggy was interested in history, reading and playing Mah Jong.
She was a member of the Military Civilian Club, San Antonio Conservation Society, History Club of San Antonio, Le Club and the Junior Forum.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home from 5:00 pm-8:00 pm. She will be laid to rest at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
