'Grandpa was a strong, loving, honest, friendly man. He could befriend anyone and tell them a "time" joke. He taught me how to work hard, be forgiving, and enjoy my family. He taught me to swim, climb trees like a monkey, and spit watermelon seeds with a "Aw, come on" saying that would encourage anyone to laugh and play with him. I remember him with the smell of grass, Shower to Shower, and Whigley's chewing gum. His lessons from tieing knots, respecting disheartened, and playing like a child when I can are enstilled in me and I will always be greatful. God Speed Gramps.'

So when he went in the Navy he send me 
a Handkerchief with a picture of an apple tree and a boy and girl under 
the tree. with the saying "Don't Sit

'I did not know Mr. Ortiz personally but I know Irene. The evidence of this man is in the fact that Irene is one of the kindest, sweetest, most giving people I have ever known. I'm old fashioned and think this has lots to do with who rised her. My heart and prayers go out to the entire family.We all live our lives as best we can. 'Our memory of Uncle Pete was always a happy experience. He always treated us with love and respect. He will be greatly missed by my mom and dad (Amparo and Silverio Guedea), my sister (Patricia Keller), my nephew and niece (Ivan and Camilla Guedea-Keller), and me. He is now with our Lord in Heaven. He is now with our family members that have already passed and have gone to Heaven.
