

Dr. Taylor attended the University of Miami and was a graduate of the Washington University School of Dentistry in St. Louis.
After completing his residency in Oral Surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, he entered the U.S. Army where he served for more than 27 years, retiring as a Colonel in the Dental Corps.
Dr. Taylor was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and an avid lover of animals, particularly horses and basset hounds.
He was preceded in death by his wife of more than 47 years, Rita Rasche Taylor, and his identical twin brother, Colonel Retired William J. Taylor.
He is survived by his son, Colonel Retired Peter F. Taylor, Jr. and his wife, Kim; daughter Vicki Roper and her husband, Colonel Dan S. Roper. Dr. Taylor is also survived by grandchildren Kristin Taylor, Erica Taylor, Lieutenant Daniel Roper, Sergeant David Roper, and Natalie Roper.
The family wishes to express its sincere gratitude to staffs of the Homestead Assisted Living Facility in Leavenworth, Kansas, and the TriSun Care Center in Windcrest, Texas, for their wonderful care.
Interment will be at the Holy Cross Cemetery in San Antonio.
