Petra S. Salazar- age 88, passed away peacefully August 8, 2020. She was born on June 28, 1932 in San Antonio, TX to the late Elder Manuel and Carmen Solis. She married Arnulfo C. Salazar on July 28, 1956 and was married for 46 years. She had seven children: Joel (Christina), Abel (Eva), Samuel (Sandra), Naomi Tuller (Dwayne), Loida Vergara (Eddie), Daniel Salazar, Manuel (Jessica). She had 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Sisters: Clara Riojas, Maria Mireles, Marta Silva, Noemi Lawrence, and Rita Rodriguez.
She was a long time member of the Church of God (Seventh Day) and enjoyed serving the Lord in the Women's Ministry. She was also a devoted wife serving alongside her husband, the late Elder Arnulfo C. Salazar in the ministry.
Petra was preceded in death by her parents Manuel and Carmen Solis, her husband Arnulfo C. Salazar, her Sisters Juanita Yanez and Felecitas Salazar and Brothers Alejos Solis and Manuel Solis jr.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Church of God (Seventh Day)- 1342 Ceralvo St. San Antonio, TX 78207 in her honor.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm on Monday, August 31, 2020 at Church of God, 1342 Ceralvo with a 7:00 pm Service. A 1:00 pm Service will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at Church of God. Interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
