Born February 12, 1939, in Janesville, Wisconsin, Phyllis has lived in San Antonio since 1996.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Eugene West. She is survived by her mother, Dorothy E. West; her children, Brett Michael Smith, Brenda Elizabeth Smith Beagley, and Amy Lee Smith Johnson; and five grandchildren, Desiree, Thomas, Michael, Tylesha and Marin. Phyllis also leaves behind her beloved nephews and nieces, Jeffery, Jill, Jennifer, Jeanna and Jonathon.
Phyllis worked for several years at Janesville's Lab Safety Supply before moving to Texas to work for her son's company, Smith Painting, Inc.
She will be remembered for her selfless dedication to caring for her mother, supporting her children in all their endeavors and her unconditional love for her family. She will be dearly missed and will be in our hearts forever.
