

Rae Jean "Mommie" Centeno was called back to the arms of our Lord on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at the age of 77. Our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother was born to Benjamin and Josephine Little on January 10, 1935 in San Antonio, Texas and was a lifelong resident.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Ben and Johnny, sisters, Vita and Dorothy, and husband, Eloy Centeno.
She is survived by brother, Dave Little, children, Rae Jean Alonso, Jeannette C. Santos (Luis), Eloy Centeno Jr., Darrell Centeno, Susie Centeno (Roberto Paredes), Frederick Centeno, Claudia Centeno, seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rae Jean was known by all as "Mommie" because she was an example of unconditional love to everyone. She taught forgiveness, consideration, and genuine sweetness. Her motto in all situations was, "Kill them with kindness."
She worked alongside her husband, Eloy for over 30 years at family owned Centeno Supermarket where she greeted customers daily with her endearing smile. She will be remembered for her warmth, her sense of humor and her simple but wise outlook on life.
We will always love you, Mommie, your blue eyes will sparkle in our hearts forever.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, January 18, 2012 beginning at 6 o'clock at Porter Loring on McCullough.
